received the Ph.D degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the B.S. degree from Beihang University (BUAA), China. He obtained the award of Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPFS) in 2013 and Gold Medal Award from BUAA in 2012. He won the Best Paper Award in MIAR 2016. His research areas include medical image computing, deep learning, and computer vision. Within his 18 years career with Lenovo Group, he was appointed as Vice President and also served as general manager of Lenovo Mobile marketing and sales, general manager of CSMB Business in China, general manager of Lenovo Regional management. During his appointment with Lenovo, he guided the Lenovo CSMB business ahead of other competitors maintaining the first position of China's Market Share, while repeatedly achieved historical high rankings.
has served as the Director of Medical Image Analysis Center at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 1999 and as the Director of Center for Human-Computer Interaction at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Integration Technology, Chinese Academy of Science/CUHK since 2006. He has been appointed as a Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor by Ministry of Education since 2007.
